The George Washington & Thomas Paine Citizen Science Walk

A casual, 2.8-mile walk from Kingston to Rocky Hill along the John W. Flemer Preserve path by the canal, returning by the towpath to Kingston. Join biologists Chuck and Diana Martin and colleagues through the Rockingham area using iNaturalist to discover native and introduced wildlife along the D&R Canal ecosystem. Along the way we will hike up the woodland trail to Rockingham, Washington’s last wartime headquarters. You can download the free iNaturalist app on your smartphone to learn how you can use this powerful citizen science research and learning tool.
